  2. Jessica Parra (Pitching & Hitting)
"I started playing when I was 11 years old. I have played on some of the top Arizona and California teams. At age 15, I was flown to California for practices and games so that I could compete at the highest level of competition. I played 18-Gold when I was 15 and competed in many Women's National and Major Tournaments. In these tournaments we faced numerous Team USA players (and soon-to-be Team USA players) as well as other National Teams. We always held our own. I went to Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, Arizona. I earned First Team All State Pitcher ('99)and First Team All State Utility Player('98). I lead the state in most HRs, triples, doubles, and RBIs. I was Player of the Year for Softball('99). We won (I pitched) the 5A State Title in 1999 and we were in the final four the years prior. We (Mountain Pointe) were ranked 4th in the country in '98 and 2nd in the country in '99 by the NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association). I was recruited by many top schools but chose to go to Hawaii. I played softball for 4 years and then followed my passion for teaching. I moved back to Arizona and taught preschool as well as studied Nutrition at ASU. I am passionate about softball, teaching and nutrition. I will also be starting nursing school in the Fall of this year ('13). However, I always make time for softball!" – Jessica Parra
